Derek Roach has extensive experience in the annuity market, where he frequently observed clients burdened by exorbitant and seemingly arbitrary fees for their annuities and investment accounts. Additionally, he noticed a troubling trend: many individuals had fragmented financial portfolios, with no cohesive communication between the various components. Clients often juggled multiple financial advisors, maintained several annuities, and dealt with different companies for auto, home, and life insurance, leading to compounded fees and inefficiencies.
Drawing on his diverse background in these fields, Derek sought to establish a unified solution. His vision was to create a comprehensive platform where clients could consolidate their financial needs—securing insurance from the most cost-effective providers, managing investments with top-tier professionals, and ensuring seamless integration across all services. Clients would benefit from a dedicated team of independent advisors, fostering a deeper understanding of their financial landscape, reducing fees, and enhancing overall efficiency. This approach not only simplifies the financial management process but also builds long-term, meaningful relationships with a consistent advisory team.

An Individual Retirement Arrangement (IRA) is a popular retirement account designed to help individuals save and invest money for their retirement years. Similar to employer sponsored plans such as a 401k or 403b, IRA's provide many tax benefits as well as other benefits not available within an employer sponsored plan. These accounts provide a flexible and efficient way to save for retirement.
A Traditional IRA provides a Tax Sheltered place for individuals to invest Pre-Tax dollars without paying ANY taxes on the funds until they are withdrawn. This can be a great way to lower your current tax liability, as contributions are not taxable as income until withdrawn.
A Roth IRA provides a Tax Sheltered place for individuals to invest Post-Tax dollars. Upon withdrawal from a Roth IRA, (after a minimum of 5 years) neither your contributions nor the gains within the account are taxable. This can be a great way to lower your tax liability in retirement by paying the taxes on contributions now, and eliminating taxes on your investment gains.
It is important to note that both Traditional and Roth IRA's are designed for withdrawals after age 59 1/2 in order to receive these benefits and avoid penalties.
